Transformative three-day retreats that integrate energy and sound healing, guided meditations, yoga, bodywork, gentle plant ceremonies like cacao, and indigenous wisdom to promote personal and environmental healing.
This retreat is led by Soma Wellness and Wander with Wonder, a service originating in Del Norte County by a former Interpretive Ranger with Redwood National and State Parks. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Redwood's Park Conservancy.
Seasonal healing retreats held at Howland Hill Outdoor School, in alignment with the park’s mission to foster connection, wellness, and conservation through nature-based experiences.
"We gather for healing on the ancestral lands of the Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation. We bow with gratitude to the original stewards of these redwood forests, whose spirits still speak through the trees and waters. The Tolowa people are not only part of this land’s history—they are present and thriving today, continuing their sacred relationship with the land, waters, and all living beings."
Come home to the ancient embrace of the redwoods.
This 3-day retreat invites guests to step beyond the noise of modern life and into a timeless space of healing, wonder, and reconnection with their wild, luminous selves.
Nestled within a secluded redwood grove, we’ll gather in rustic cabins — simple, earthy sanctuaries without modern distractions. There are no showers or artificial heat. Instead, we return to the pure, nurturing elements of the Earth: fresh air, firelight, the whisper of trees, and the warmth of human connection.
This is a pilgrimage, not a vacation — a sacred remembering.

Please meet Wonder Woman Heart, our very special Redwoods guide! Once a National Park Ranger in the California Redwoods, she now works for the Redwood Parks Conservancy and will lead our first day of exploring! She will meet us again the following day for meditative walks through Stout Grove and other trails, as well as leading us in a Watershed Movement Meditation at the mouth of the Smith River!
Formerly Ashley Smith, a Seattle resident with a lifetime role in public school Special Education— her course in life changed when she experienced a spontaneous healing from 17 years of chronic pain, which she was told had no remedy. Her consciousness shifted, and the thoughts that once left her in a state of anxiety transformed into an energy of love, hope and healing.
Wonder changed everything in her life, including her name, and moved to the California Redwoods that inspired her. Wonder's guided tours offer both scientific and spiritual insight to these truly miraculous trees; we will learn so much from her about what we can learn from them!
